Located in Dayton, Ohio and arriving on the scene in 2012. SSMedPro has shown itself to be a serious contributor to innovation within the medical and emergency service worlds. Unique when compared to many start ups, this company was born out of the special bounds common within the fire service of today, and remains focused on harnessing the creative spirit and ingenuity of their fellow firefighters. With several patents now to their credit and more on the way, Trent Shroyer and Nick Seitz remain focused on the ongoing development of their many successful projects and proving S&S Medical to be a name to remember.
A most proud accomplishment of this young company is the SETS, or Sweet Extrication Training System, winner of both the 2013 EMS World Innovation Award and the 2014 JEMS Hot Product Award. The SETS is a training device that enables firefighters to create scenarios to simulate the challenges faced when responding to motor vehicle crashes without the danger or logistic challenges common in such trainings. S&S Medical has brought this device from firehouse fantasy to a wonderfully beneficial reality, while committing not only domestic, but to local manufacturing. With a unique perspective on problem solving, innovation, and a responsible sense of community, SSMedPro is a positive reflection of Dayton area business growth. As much a welcome addition to the Dayton area’s bright future, as they are a refreshing reminder of Dayton’s inventive past.
